The Latham 1972 History Book had the following: "William Harrison Williams's second wife, Alfrhetta "Retta" A., was the daughter of Nicholas W. Howe and Sarah Howe. They were married in 1897. They had Jesse, Pearl, William H. Jr., Mae, Leland D., and infant, Clifford (October 29, 1907-April 7, 1908).
