Hello Penny, It is snowing here in central IL! I was going through some scrapbooks that my mom gave me and I thought this may be of some interest to you. If not, just push the delete button. The only problem is that it came out of a newspaper and I don't know which one. I would guess the Times Weekly from Mt. Pulaski, but I can't find any proof. My grandfather's obit in the paper had the names of my dad and my uncle wrong so I know there are many mistakes in the paper, but maybe this can give you some more leads. Mary Ann
Latham Woman Died Yesterday at Her Home
Mrs. Nancy Jane Williams, 62, wife of William H. Williams of Latham, died in the family home at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 1946.
Nancy Jane Seiber was born Dec. 30, 1883, near Salem, Ill., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Seiber. She was united in marriage to Mr. Williams a number of years ago, and had been a resident of Latham and vicinity for several years. She was a member of the Latham Methodist church.
Besides her husband she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Nellie M. Moehler, Miami, Florida; three brothers, T.M. Seiber, Iuka, Ill., ; A.M. Seiber, Oklahoma and A.D. Seiber, Salem; also six grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Pease funeral home in Latham, and funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the residence, conducted by Rev. E.R. Cory, pastor of the Latham Methodist church.
The body was taken to Salem, Ill., for interment in Woodlawn cemetery.
