I made an exception with Balthasar’s name. He is the only child that was Baptized Ullm. I changed it to Ulm so the original family could be found together on the file.

1745 - Johann "Balthassar" Ulm was named for his baptismal sponsor who was his uncle on his mother’s side, Johann Balthaser Bösshaar &wf Johanna Dorotha.

1782 - Baltis Woolam listed on the tax list of Berkeley Co., VA in 1782 along with brothers Matthias and Peter.

Ida Wollam states that land records show the Wollam family were in the Shenandoah Valley, VA by 1715. Elder Jacob was born then in Berkeley county at that time. She has the wills of Jacob (wife Magdalena); Balsar (wife Mary Weaver); and land records; also of Jacob (wife Elizabeth Spahr). Also the will of David Thomas of Berne township, Fairfield Co.,Ohio, whose daughter Nancy married Alfred Wollam, son of Jacob.

Ida Wollam would like to exchange family histories and Bible records with other Wollam descendants. No research has been done on a Wollam born in 1684 Baden Germany, claimed by some relatives as the founder of the family
