Last will and testament of Henry Wollam, Columbiana Co.,
Ohio

In the name of the Benevolent Father of all I, Henry Wollam, of Columbiana county Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament.
Item first, I give and devise to my beloved wife in lieu of her dower full support off the farm on which we now live, so long as she remains a widow and she is to hold the mansion house in which we now live, or if it best suits her convenience the other dwelling on the farm, also one
horse ...., one cow, six sheep, one hog, and necessary household furnature, and necessary provisions for her support for one year from my demise.
2nd I devise to my oldest son Archibald one hundred dollars after my wife's decease.
I devise to my oldest daughter Leah, now Leah Smith, one hundred dollars to be paid at the
same time that my son Archibald is to be paid.
I devise to my daughter Hannah, now Hannah Lee or her heirs one hundred dollars, to be paid to her at the same time that her brother and sister as above receive their portions.
I devise to my son Benjamin one hundred dollars to be paid to him at the same time his above brother and sisters are to receive their portion.
I devise to my son Jacob, one hundred dollars to be paid to him at the same time that his brothers and sisters above named are to receive their portions.
I devise to my daughter Elizabeth, now Elizabeth Jackson, one hundred dollars, to be paid her at the same time as specified for the payment of her brothers and sisters above named.
I give and devise to my son Samuel, one hundred dollars, to be paid him at the same time that his brothers and sisters, above named are to receive their portions.
I give and devise to my daughter Mary, now Mary Conkle, one hundred forty dollars, \to be paid her at the same time above specified for her brothers and sisters.
I give and devise to my son Henry Wollam one hundred dollars to be paid him at the same time and manner that his brothers and sisters receive their portions.
I give and devise to my son Joseph, one hundred and forty dollars to be paid him at the same time that his brothers and sisters above to receive their portions.
I give and devise to my daughter Sarah, now Sarah Holinger, one hundred and forty dollars, paid at the same time that her brothers and sisters are to receive their portions.
I give and devise to my daughter Susan one hundred and forty dollars and one Cow and Bed and Beding. The Cow, bed and beding to be given her upon her marriage. The one hundred and forty dollars to be paid her at the time her brothers and sisters receive their portions.
I give and devise to my son John, one hundred and forty dollars, to be paid him at the same time that his brothers and sisters receive their portions.
I give and devise to my Grandson, Albert Smith, one hundred and forty dollars by him serving on the farm as a child if required, till he arrives at the age of twenty-one to be paid at the same time that my own children are to receive their portions.
I give and devise to my grandson Samuel Jackson fifty dollars to be paid him at the same time that the above heirs are to receive their portions.
The above sums, as above specified I intend to go the the persons above named or to their heirs.
I will that after my decease the personal property then belonging to me shall be sold the proceeds thereof applied to the payment of all my Just debts and funeral expenses, all to be fully paid and if there be any left to be put to interest till the decease of my wife, I will that the farm on which we now live (containing one hundred and ten acres) be sold and the proceeds thereof applied to the payments of the above persons heirs above named and if the lands together with the chattel property should sell for more than will pay the above, then the over plus to be divided amongst my children share and share alike.
I do hereby nominate and do John Reids Executor of this my last will and testament, hereby authorizing and empowering him to compromise, adjust, release, and discharge, in
such manner as he may deem proper the debts and claims due me. I do authorize and empower him if it shall become necessary in order to pay my debts to sell by private sale or in such manner, upon such terms if....or otherwise as he may think proper, all or any part of my real estate, and deeds to purchase to execute acknowledge...deliver in fee simple.
I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal of this twenty first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight-hundred and forty- four.

testament in our presence, and signed by us in his presence.
