California Death index doesn’t list any spouse’s initials for Aurora.
Walter and Aurora are buried together overlooking the Colma Bart Station. His name was inscribed on the stone but her name was not added at the time of her death.
Arrora has a card on file in the Naturalization index at NARA. She evidently applied for repatriation:
Petition 767-R Date: March 16, 1955
Under Nationality: (Sec 324 (c) of Immig & Nat’l Act)
Took the oath: April 5, 1955.
Aurora lost her citizenship and become an English citizen when she married Walter Hollingum. She requested repatriation in Apr of 1955 and at the age of 71, took the oath of allegiance. I noticed how shaky her signature was and wondered what caused her to choose repatiration. Maybe she just wanted to die an American, more likely, it was fear during the McCarthy Hearings. The information in my file (Penny's database), her birth marriage and personal information, has been completed using this form.
Further information: Aurora was married once before she married Walter. Her name on the repatriation form is: Hollingum (nee Silva) (formerly Robinson)
