Occupation1917 at the age of 21 he worked as a Lithographer at the Coast Metal Works
Occupation1920 he worked at a cannery as a press feeder. Probably American Can Co. with Mary Frances Finnigan.
Misc. Notes
He and his wife had 3 daughters.
The Census of 1920 indicates that Ray was a boarder with (looks like) Bertha Rossi, he was naturalized in 1915 and was still single. The census of 1920 was taken in January and he is listed as single. He married in February.
Interestingly enough, I cannot locate his name in the naturalization index . They are filed alphabetically for all declarations and petitions in the US District court, Northern District of California in San Francisco. I located 2 other members of the family and his name is not among them. He indicated he was a citizen on his draft card in 1917. It seems possible that he was automatically naturalized as a minor child at the time of his father’s naturalization.
