Ira T. Wollam was born March 15, 1847, In Coilumbiana Co., Ohio and was the son of Alfred and Nancy (Thomas) Wollam.
Ira T. Wollam was married Feb 25, 1869 to Mary Loretta Bolton, a daughter of Lewis and Mary (Parker) G Bolton who came from Knox Co., O., and settled in Mercer County, just south of Mendon. Mr. Bolton was born Jan.12, 1825 and died Nov.26, 1860. Mary Parker was born Dec.25, 1824 and married Mr. Bolton Oct.30,1845 and had; Matilda, William Lewis, Simon Peter and Mary. Mary Parker Bolton married 2nd Noah Pile and had son Basil T. Pile.
