William Wooden received a Land Patent (Certificate No. 6705), dated 15 Dec. 1835, for the NW Quarter of the NW Quarter of Section 22, T56N, R5W, in Clay Township, Ralls County, Missouri. I am seeking additional information, of any kind, regarding this Patentee.
Misc. Notes
This is a long shot, but maybe it's what you've been looking for.

I have a descendancy chart for Joseph Wooden (b. About 1711). His son James (b. 1737, m Abigail Leonard) had a son William, born April 1, 1780 in New York. William was born in prob. Orange County; the family moved to Seneca County, near Waterloo and Junius, in the 1790's.

William (b. April 1, 1780, d. March 25, 1863) married Sarah Widner (b. About 1782). The children listed in my descendancy chart are James, Unknown, Unknown, Cordelia, Unknown, Unknown, Julia Ann, Unknown, Sarah, Louisa, William W. and Harriet N. The only one that matches up with your list is William.

That's it. Since so many of William and Sarah's descendants lived and died in the Chili - Rochester, NY area, the only chance I can see of a connection to the William you seek is this: if William fought in the war of 1812 and received a land patent from that service, perhaps some of his sons went to Missouri and worked the land. Maybe that's why there are so many "Unknown" children - the team that put together the book lived in the Rochester area and would have been in contact with any descendants who were still there. So if a child was unknown to them, perhaps that's an indication they left the area.

It might be worthwhile to determine whether William fought in the War of 1812, and if so, order his pension file.

If you need more on this couple (my William and Sarah) I'd be glad to pass on what I have.

Good luck!
