Misc. Notes
Ransom Wooden lived in Davis County, Iowa (1852-1872), Winfield, Kansas (1872-1880).
1850 US Census of Being 73rd Dist,, Ralls Co., MO - page 183.
Ransom Wooden is my step grandfather’s line. Still it seems incredible that they are living a few stops on the census takers route from my (Penny’s father’s) family line, the Billings family. Both families left Ralls in short order. Darrel Wooden (Penny’s stepgrandfather and the grandson of Ransom Wooden) married Penny’s Grandmother in 1935. There is no true relationship between the families but it’s an amazing coincidence to me. It’s also a bit annoying that all parties that would have been interested are dead and I can’t it share with them.
Ransom and Jensy and their children moved from Davis County, Iowa to Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas, in about 1873.

I have quite a bit of information on the Wooden and Paris families if you are interested. I have searched without success for over thirty years for Ransom's parents. Many believe the parents names were William and Sarah -- but no proof yet.
