Arthur Renick researcher: Per Arthur Renick's 1975 records on the Hockenberry family.

Searching for information on Matthew (Mathiew?) Henry DAVIS. Possible parents are Samuel DAVIS and Lavina (Lavinia?) KESTER. Matthew's dob is unknown; he married Prudence Neome (Naomi?) HOCKENBERRY. Their children were Evard Matthew DAVIS (b1859), Clement Laird DAVIS (b1860), Porter Chavney DAVIS (b1865), Myrtle DAVIS (b1867), Henry Austin DAVIS (b1869), and Pansy DAVIS (b1872). Matthew and Prudence migrated to Indiana County as some point perhaps in the late 1870s. Matthew at least later returned to Butler Co., and perhaps also some of his children. The Muddycreek Township area of Butler County appears the most likely origin as both families are concentrated there. I would appreciate any information on Matthew and Prudence, their ancestors and possible descendants still in the area.
