physician. found on page 94 Olive townshp. I suspect he is Marvin's child due to his age. Cooper at the 1850 census
Found on the 1900 census in Salisbury Township with wife Mary and daughter Luanza 52-63 married 47 years. States had 9 children only 5 living.
Meigs deaths page 64 # 5 from "gall stone colic"
Lived in Murraysville WV for some years with his family as a child. see page 319 Meigs County Histories, vol 2.
recived MD degree from Cincinnatti 9 Feb 1869. Praticed in Long Bottom until the 1884 flood, then moved to Middleport. Moved in the 1860's to Cincinatti while he attended med school. He received his degree 9 Feb 1869 then they moved back to Olive Twp.

Swan- Caldwell
The Swans came from England in the late 1600’s and settled at Litchfield, Conn. Isaac Swan was born ca 1730 and died 5 Dec. 1802. Isaac and Elizabeth Swan’s son, Daniel, was born ca 1754 and died 23 Aug. 1829. He married Huldah Parmalee. Their son, Levi, was born 9 May 1779 at Litchfield, Conn. He married Mary Bradley.
Levi and Mary Swann moved near Marietta, OH about 1817 and then to Long Bottom, OH about 1829. Levi died 19 Dec. 1874 and is buried in Sand Hill Cemetery.
Levi’s and Mary’s 6 sons were:
1. Nathan, b. 22 June 1801, m. Beulah Gates on 20 Feb 1824.
2. Marvin, b. 7 July 1803, m. Margaret Calder on 19 April 1827
3. Henry, b. ca 1806, m. Mary Beckford on 19 July 1840.
4. Levi Riley, b. ca 1809, m. Charlotte Harris on 20 May 1830.
5. Laurence Bradley, b. ca 1811, m. Emily Dustin on 1 Oct. 1840.
6. Milo, b. ca 1813, m. Emeline Harris on 21 Oct. 1836.
Margaret Calder [who married Marvin, above, was], born 1809, daughter of Alexander Calder and Phoebe Mabey Both born NY.
Marvin and Margaret Swan’s children were:
1. Alexander W., b. 18 Jan. 1828, m. Anna Caldwell on 17 April 1853.
2. Theodore, b. 5 March 1830, drowned in the flood of April 1852.
3. Elizabeth, b. 18 May 1833, m. Joshua Holter on 14 June 1875.
4. Levi, b. 27 Aug. 1835, m. Mary Fellows on 28 Dec. 1865
5. Mary Lauanza, b. 20 May 1838, m. Benjamin Fellows on 23 Dec 1865
6. Horace C., b. 27 Oct. 1840, m. Mary A. Curtis on 12 May 1868.
7. Marvin D., b. 23 Oct 1843, wounded in Civil War-died at home, 1864.
8. James C., b. b. 5. Nov. 1847, m. 1. Lillie Mae Milhoan, 13 Aug. 1882, m. 2. Rosetta McKinley Pickens
William Caldwell Sr. (Colwell) was born 22 June 1778 in Ireland and died 2 May 1862 in Meigs Co., OH. He married Anna Hamilton on 16 Oct 1800. Anna was born 4 March 1777 in PA, and died 21 March 1862 in Meigs Co. They are buried in Tiffany Cemetery in Meigs Co., OH.
Their son Hamilton Caldwell, was born 29 June 1804, and died 12 May 1839. He married Sophronia Smart on 29 July 1830. She was born May 1805, the daughter of Charles Smart, Sr. b. ca 1763 at Exeter, NH, and died ca 1839 in Meigs Co. Charles Smart, Sr.‘s wife was Silence Gardner, b. ca 1769 in Maine.
Hamilton and Sophronia Caldwell’s children were:
1. Anna, b. 16 May 1831, m. Alexander W. Swan on 17 April 1853.
2. Sarah Jane, b. ca 1832, m. Alexander Dixon on 1 Jan. 1854.
3. Mary A., b. ca 1834, m. Cyrus Leonard on 21 Dec. 1851.
4 Gardner H., b. 30 April 1836, m. Harriett Stewart 16 Nov. 1856.
5 Lucretia, b. ca 1838, m. William Hammond 20 Aug 1857.
