No children was born of this union, however; this was the couple that raised the son of Veronica Ellen Mc Clain and James Ervin Herbert;. this son was my father Ralph Waldow Herbert. On the census of 1910 my father is shown with this family and is listed as Ralph Waldow Herbert, nephew;in the 1915 state ccensus my father is shown as Ralph Waldow Mc Clain no relationship shown.
Ralph was raised using the surname Mc Clain and in 1940 in Galveston, Texas filed an affidavit giving him the legal right to use the name of Mc Clain. Ralph carried a copy of this affidavit until his death at which time this legal paper disappeared.
Death record found in Seymour, Wayne Co., Iowa Mortuary and Burial Permits, page 92, permit number 655; North 1/2 of lot 67 block 8 Southlawn Cemetery.
Albert lived in Seymour, Wayne Co., Iowa, on Dec. 13, 1910 when he signed his father's estate .
