RICHARD TRACY of Stanton and Beckford, obtained from his father, the Manor of Stanton, in the County of Gloucester, part of the lands of the Abbey of Tewksbury which came into the family by grant from the crown. He had a B.A. from Oxford and was a reformer, author, sheriff, justice, royal commissioner and member of parliament 1529-36. He married BARBARA LUCY (SEE LINE 13, GEN.15), daughter of SIR THOMAS LUCY of Charlecote, Warwickshire. He died in 1569.

i. Hester, married Roland Smarte.
ii. Nathaniel, sheriff of Gloucestershire about 1586. He died sans prole before 1623.
