The wife Elizabeth whose name is not indicated in any of the records died between July 8, 1747 the date of her will and December 1751 when it was probated. In it she names in addition to the sons all her daughters. To her oldest son Theodrick II she leaves certain live stock and the "Great Bible." After willing much live stock to each child, including a horse in each instance, the rest of the estate goes to her son John Carter whom she appoints executor. The daughters named are Anne, Susannah, Martha, Mary and Elizabeth.
The daughter Elizabeth was born after her father's death as is proved by the following entry in St. Peter's Parish Register. Elizabeth daughter of Theodrick and Elizabeth Carter born August 22nd. baptized September 26, 1736. As St. Peter's Parish is in New Kent County it may be that Elizabeth Carter came from there. Elizabeth leaves a mare foal or filly to her grandson Cuthbert Webb. Or Elizabeth may have been of Henrico for the Rector of St. Peter's Parish also conducted services in Henrico and a number of births of Henrico children are recorded in St. Peter's Parish Register. . .

Misc. Notes
Hi Bill,
I saw your info on Mary Carter, my 7th greatgrandmother m. Drury Scruggs. You have her mother as Elizabeth Webb Randolph, m. Theodorick Carter. I looked at the resource for that info and it gave a web page that's no longer active I guess. I believe that info came from me, but is invalid. At one point, I thought Elizabeth MIGHT be Elizabeth Webb, and she may well be. I also thought, erroneously, that she was Elizabeth Randolph, based on an article written in GA a long while ago. I can prove she's not who it was said in the article, but the will of the father stated. Unfortunately, something I sent someone in the mid 90's was put on CD's by FTM and sent out without my knowledge, leading to a lot of erroneous info floating around. At best, it can be said that Elizabeth is possibly Elizabeth Web/Webb. She isn't Elizabeth Randolph. Sure wish she was!
I'd like to correct the info that I feel I was responsible for getting into cyberspace (albeit without my knowledge or consent). Can you change Elizabeth webb Randolph to Elizabeth? Unless you know something I don't, in which case, I'd LOVe to know
