Eleanor Susanna Mansell was dau--of Samuel Mansell of A. A. Co. (Revo. soldier) and Susanna Gassaway; she was the dau--of Nicholas Gassaway and Elizabeth Hawkins (one of his three wives); Nicholas Gassaway was son of Capt. John Gassaway and Elizabeth Lawrence. Capt. John Gassaway was son of Col. Nicholas Gassaway and Hester Besson (dau--of Thomas Besson). Elizabeth Lawrence, who m--John Gassaway, was dau--of Benj. Lawrence and Elizabeth Talbott; she was dau--of Richard Talbott and Elizabeth Ewen (who was dau--of Col. Richard Ewen).
