The 1880 Census lists George Howe as a farmer who was single and 23 years old. The 1972 Latham Book on p. 141 states that George married Lydia Gasaway. He was born on July 11, 1856 and was a school teacher according to Jim Gasaway's book on Gasaways. (Same George or not?)
According to the 1880 census; the "School Teacher" George was the child of Thomas and Nancy Filson Howe and was born in 1822 and married to Charlotte Beason.
