George Edwin Settera was born to Stanislaus Setera and Salomeja Patyk both born in the Polish area of the Austrian Empire.
Stanislaus Americanized his name and called himself Stanley. He also add a "T" to his last name and become Settera. His children generally followed this practice. He and Salomeja had fourteen children so there are many Setteras by 2013 when this was written.

George spent his life in Montana. He married Charlotte Hope Adams and they had five children from 1934 until 1945.
Charlotte died February 4, 1963 in Walla Walla Washington.

George married Genevieve Margaret Evans April 24, 1966 at age 60.
He passed away only four years later on June 7, 1970 at age 64.
Genevieve would live until September 16, 2001. She would join George in the same grave.
