Richard Johnson’s date of death.
21W(1)46 says that Richard died Oct., 1771 at New Castle (in Hanover). 25V425 has the same date and cites the Virginia Gazette. This article also says that there is a 1772 deed in Louisa (exact date not given) which refers to Dorothy Johnson of Hanover County, widow of Col. Richard Johnson. Checking the original sources (Virginia Gazette and Louisa County deeds) should resolve this question, but 1771 looks like the most probable date.
