Death of a Good Lady Formerly of Hopkinsville
Miss Eliza A. Stites of Louisville died Friday after a brief illness. She had been a sufferer from Bright's disease for some time, but was not regarded as in a dangerous state of health. The body was brought to this city Saturday for interment, accompanied by Messrs. John Stites and Maxwell Barker. Rev. E. L. Powell and Mrs. H. S. Barker. The burial took place from the depot. Miss Stites was 75 years old and a sister of the late Maj. John Stites of this city. She was born in the city and moved to Louisville 25 years ago and of late years had made her home with her niece, Mrs. Baker. She was a member of the Christian church and her life was filled with deeds of charity and Christian kindness.
